Incarceron by Catherine Fisher

Incarceron is one crazy book. I read it for the first time awhile ago in high school and then I've gone back to it couple more times since then. If you've ever watched the movie Stardust, it has that feel to it, just a little darker.

Finn wakes up in a prison, with no memories just a feeling that he doesn't belong there. Now this prison isn't like any other you have ever seen, its a whole world filled with dangers around every corner. The prison was closed and thrown away as a failed experiment leaving the inmates to run the show. Since there's forests, lakes, cities, and flying ships, the inmates aren't left wanting; but Finn is. He embarks on an adventure to find a way out.... but there's another part to the story.

Claudia lives on the outside of the prison, as the daughter of the warden. Although she know's her father is the warden she has never seen the prison its self and has been left wondering. Feeling trapped in the life she has been dealt, Claudia goes exploring in her fathers office and finds something that will come to change her and Finn's fate.

Incarceron and its sequel Sapphique are complicated books full of adventure, danger and friendship. Such a good story, with relatable characters and a satisfying ending. If you're the kind of person who has trouble making commitments to a series of books, you should really pick these books up, there's only two and they're not too thick. If you're just looking for a really fun good book with steampunk elements to it, this is the book for you.

hope you enjoy it :D
