So I picked up this book from a book sale and thought “Cool cover”, I know it’s bad but I judge books by their covers all the time. Fast forward three months later I finally decide to read it, and starting off I was like “oh cool dystopian novel again”. Though as I got deeper into the book I realized it was different than all the other dystopian series I’ve read.
It comes from the point of view of two elite teenagers living in a world where there are three classes; the executives, the employees and the basement dwellers. Nadia and Nate are best friends who have their lives planned out for them. Nate is the chairman heir and will soon take his father's place while Nadia is the second child destined to marry big. Lucky for her, her parents have made an arrangement for her to marry Nate when she comes of age. Though what no one knows is that she’s not Nate’s type….
Now Nate is always creating mischief and Nadia is always the one to clean it up. One night though Nate is left to his own devices and is killed. Good news for him he was brought back to life in a replica of himself, Though he has no memory of the reason why he was killed. Together with Nadia they look for the answers but get more questions.
Nate and Nadia’s friendship is tested and the length they would go for each other is discovered in this first book of the Replica trilogy.
I quite enjoyed this book and would recommend it to all those who love the dystopian books and are looking for a new story that includes the elements of a different world with twisted rules that the characters are forced to survive.
Hope you enjoy it :D
